Fine-tuning your survey

After you create the initial structure of a survey, you can fine-tune the way that questions are displayed and answers are evaluated. By enhancing the default behavior of your survey, you can ensure that the information that you collect is contextual and valid.

Use the following optional techniques to fine-tune your survey:

1. Reorder questions so that the survey is easy to follow.

2. Decide which questions are required.

3. Define the conditions that control whether a question page is included in the survey.

4. Define the conditions that control whether a question is included in the survey.

5. Define the expected format and values for each answer to a question.

6. Provide a visual cue to users when the answers that they provide are not in the expected format.

7. Calculate a score for your survey.
